Jumper Creek Ranch Foundation

The Jumper Creek Ranch Family Foundation, established in 2023, is dedicated to empowering the next generation of agricultural leaders. Through its scholarship program, the Foundation supports students who demonstrate outstanding commitment to agriculture, academic achievement, and leadership potential—helping cultivate a future where innovation and sustainability continue to strengthen this essential industry.

The Foundation’s inaugural scholarships honor two remarkable individuals whose lives embodied service and impact. The Ann R. Fields Scholarship commemorates Ann R. Fields (1916–2004), Sumter County’s first county health nurse, whose legacy of compassion and community care set a lasting standard. The Donald A. George Scholarship recognizes Donald A. George, a former 4-H leader and Sumter County Agricultural Agent in the 1960s, whose lifelong dedication to agricultural education continues to inspire. Now residing near Jumper Creek Ranch, his connection to the land reflects the very spirit these scholarships aim to nurture.

Together, these scholarships carry forward a powerful legacy—supporting students who will lead, innovate, and sustain the future of agriculture for generations to come.

Scholarships

Recognizing the pivotal role students play in driving agricultural progress and shaping our society's future, we're proud to announce our commitment. Starting in 2024, we introduced scholarships for graduating high school seniors accepted into any of Florida's twelve State Universities or twenty-eight State Colleges, pursuing studies in agricultural disciplines. These scholarships, valued at $1,000 each, reflect our dedication to nurturing the next generation.

Applications are solicited in April of each year through South Sumter High School FFA and 4H organizations. All applications are subject to review by our Scholarship Committee.
